General dermatology

Dermatology is a internal medicine specialty that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of skin, hair and nail disorders and also their manifestations on oral and genital mucosa. The skin is the largest organ of our body, and it can be a mirror of numerous systemic diseases: infectious, metabolic, endocrine, hematological or immune. Dermatological disorders can lead to various problems such as inability to work (chronic hand eczema, fungal infections, psoriasis, sweating of the palms, etc.), difficult social communication (redness of the face, vitiligo, acne, rosacea or psoriasis of the face, etc.) and the consequent significant impact on quality of life.

Sexually transmitted
diseases

Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are very common infections transmitted by the sexual contact (genital, oral or anal). Two thirds of patients belong to the group of people under 25 years of age. One in four sexually active young people will develop STDs before the age of 21. We recognize over 20 different types of STDs. The most common are: herpes simplex virus (HSV) infection, genital warts (condylomata acuminata), molluscum contagiosum, pubic lice (scabies lice), scabies, chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, hepatitis B and hepatitis C and AIDS / HIV.

Moles (Melanocytic nevi) and skin tumors

Total skin examination with dermoscopy can be performed at Dermatologika clinic. Dermoscopy is a simple, non-invasive, fast-performing and very useful method by which it is possible to make a more reliable diagnosis, and especially to distinguish melanoma from other benign skin lesions. Patients who have a large number of moles on their skin need to do a total body scan with mole mapping in order to facilitate the follow-up.

Plastic and reconstructive surgery

Plastic surgery is a branch of surgery that deals with improving a person's appearance and reconstructing facial and body tissue defects caused by disease, trauma or birth disorders. It can be divided into two main categories: reconstructive surgery and cosmetic surgery. The modern age has brought new criteria of beauty, which is often not easy to achieve. At the DERMATOLOGIKA clinic, we strive to follow modern recommendations and implement only approved and proven effective and safe procedures that are applied only in clear indications with the imperative of preserving a person's natural appearance.
